NYX may be a reputable makeup company, and may be good makeup, but this Beauty Box just didn't work. When I opened the box, one side had been broken as though hit at high impact--enough to tear up the plastic protective covering. The lower level was missing a blusher, which seems to have come unglued and been lost in the big black plastic box somewhere. Many of the eyeshadows were cracked and damaged, and since there is no damage to the outside gift box or to the shipping box, I know that this was damage done early on. And since someone else had the same trouble, I'm wondering how many other boxes are defective, too. I would have otherwise attributed this to a one-time error and not reviewed it harshly at all. I heard about this product from a talk show on tv and thought it looked like it would be great to have. When I received it in the mail the packaging from a private seller (through the Amazon site) was surely not sufficient and a few of the pallettes were completely broken and extremely messy when I opened it (over my new carpetting!). I was disappointed that I never got to test the quality or the colors of the product. |
